UGG footwear has been trendsetting since the 70s and is known for its superior comfort and strong aesthetic. Back in 1978, Aussie surfer Brian Smith moved to Southern California where he started making and selling UGG boots at the surf shops along the sun-drenched coast. His sheepskin footwear became synonymous with the 80s Californian beach culture, but it wasn't until a couple of decades later that UGGs hit the mainstream. Pivotal celebrity endorsements in the early 2000s saw UGGs enter popular culture, leading to expanding ranges that span slippers, platforms, and full boots.
